Valor
Valor is the ultimate balancing oil, and it has such a special story. When Gary Young first formulated this blend, it contained Rosewood, a sacred tree from the Amazon jungle. Rosewood ultimately became unsustainable to harvest and use in the blend. Gary developed a new version of Valor, but it was never quite the same. Several years ago, a Brazilian man named Eduardo Mattoso wanted to bring back the original Valor blend. He dreamt of taking Rosewood off of the endangered species list, so he bought a plot of land and started to grow Rosewood. He worked diligently to create a sustainable farm to make Rosewood essential oil, which he does by trimming the leaves and branches off the tree instead of cutting in down in order to distill the oil. The Brazilian government has a lot of regulation around sustainability, and Eduardo works closely alongside them to ensure that the Rosewood he distills is up to the highest standards. Thanks to Eduardo, the original Valor is now back on the market, and the scent is divine. I use Valor to anoint my feet every morning as it helps to balance all the energy in my body.
