Frankincense

When in doubt, Frankincense.

The King of Oils. Frankincense was worth more than its weight in gold in ancient times. This is why it was such a precious gift; so precious as to be given to Jesus at his birth. The fact that we even get to have Frankincense oil astounds me. It’s truly an impossible scent to describe. It’s so clean and complex, and can be used from anything to skin care to enhancing immunological function to spiritual practice. Frankincense has long been used as a means to commune with the Divine. The ancient Egyptians were using it well before the Biblical people. My favorite way to use Frankincense is by anointing my third eye during meditation, or any other time I wish to commune. It helps thin the veil. This is another oil that I can never leave the house without.
